Blood Purification Principle :

Infomed’s activity is related to extracorporeal blood purification which consists in removing certain substances from blood or plasma :

• by circulating the blood in a loop situated outside of the patient
• by passing the blood through one or more purifying elements, i.e. filter or adsorber
• by substituting, if necessary, part or whole of the removed substances

Extracorporeal blood purification can be performed in different ways, that define the treatment which shall allow to restore the normal balance of the targeted substances within the patient’s body.
